Asking Good Questions

What makes a question a “good” question? In this session we will look at some characteristics that will help you fashion good questions for your small group.

Take Home: Asking good questions is key to getting to the heart.

Action Step 1: Next Sunday, as your pastor is preaching, try writing a few questions as if you were going to ask your students or children to discuss the message.

Action Step 2: Practice silence after asking a question. You can do this by asking a good question at the dinner table or even asking yourself a question in front of a mirror and then refusing to talk for 30 seconds. Keep eye contact. It may seem easy, but 30 seconds can feel like forever when you are in the middle of a conversation with eyes staring at you.
