ACTION STEP: Now it is time to set a goal for your own spiritual growth this year. Let’s start by setting a weekly goal for quiet time. How many days of the week will you plan to meet with God for a dedicated time of Bible reading and prayer? This is just the start. As you find yourself faithful and growing in this discipline, push yourself by adding additional goals for other areas of spiritual growth.
Once you have recorded your goal, place it in a location that you can easily and frequently review it. (Inside your Bible, in your phone, or by your desk)
In addition, find a friend in your ministry who can encourage you in your devotional habits and hold you accountable. Accountability will help you to achieve consistency as you pursue Jesus.
